Captains Chris and Alyse take Anacortes by Storm!

Spring is in the air as we fly to the Pacific North West for Trawler Fest UNIVERSITY and Trawler Fest. This year the weather is better, no snow and no hail but still ch-ch-chilly. A great reminder for the reason we live in South Florida: it is SUNNY year round!

Trawler Fest UNIVERSITY is becoming more popular every year and enjoys a sellout UNIVERSITY schedule. Our two day “Building Cruising Confidence as a Couple” seminar is conducted aboard a Kadey Krogen 44 Trawler based in the PNW. Sunshine and wind mark the first day of training and on the second day the weather becomes colder with rain. Our four couples learn docking in heavy wet winds, vessel systems, helm and deck operations and Building Cruising Confidence as a Couple!

During Trawler Fest Alyse presented “Confessions of a Galley Slave” seminar and Chris hosted three activities each afternoon

  1. Life raft Demonstration
  2. Survival Suit Demonstration
  3. Rescue Line Toss.

YES, all three were done IN THE COLD WATER to prove the effectiveness of the equipment and procedures. We have a great new video from PassageMaker, more snapshots at the bottom of THIS page or…Go to PassageMaker’s web site, scroll down the page and check out the photos of all the fun!

Join us for Trawler Fest University and Trawler Fest in Baltimore this October or San Diego in November.
