This new owner has not yet taken possession of his trawler so we are hired to perform a sea trial.
This sea trial is to establish benchmark parameters for an extended warranty on the main propulsion engine. The John Deere Technician connects his computer to the John Deere ECM (Electronic Control Module) then we can cruise the boat under load and record engine conditions. The technician will prove the engine is installed correctly and is operating within factory specifications before approving the extended warranty request.
We run down the river at varying RPMs and speeds recording engine load, temperature, oil pressure. Everything is good to go!
