Preheat oven to 350.
Spray your muffin pan with Pam and get your kitchen scissors out. Crack open a can of crescent rolls and Snip!Snip! the dough into some stingray shapes, placing the shapes into the muffin cups. What’s a stingray shape? Sort of triangular. Considering the triangle perforations on the dough when you roll it out. Then realize that artistic license works best with this recipe. The dough is meant to cover most of the bottom of the muffin cup but overflow out onto the lip of each cup.
OK, next get anything to put on top of the dough. That’s right- ANYTHING**. Small hunks of any kind of cheese work great but if you are lucky enough to have brie then that’s even better. Toss a few nuts over the cheese and you’re getting fancy. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg and you are a chef! Add marmalade or jelly and it’s heaven.
Pop the muffin tray into the oven for 8 to 10 minutes and you have a most scrumptious appetizer! The wings curl around the gooey center and help pop them out easily. Watch to make sure the wings don’t get too crispy…
** substitute salsa,or tomatoes and onions, or chutney, or chocolate chips, or cheese and jalapenos…you get the drift. It’s called refrigerator review!
