Two Trawler Training Days Aboard Sandy Hook
Starting out in the engine room..where everything happens!
Additional Images
This Florida couple joined us for two days of cruising fun to see if a trawler was in their future...

What's the verdict? Most definately! Check out their time aboard with us by clicking on the photos below. Maybe you'll be with us next time? GIve us a call 772-205-1859 and see how easy it is to live aboard and learn about the cruising life with professional captains, Chris & Alyse Caldwell. You'll be glad you did!(NOTE: We no longer charter our boat but are pleased to come aboard YOUR boat anywhere for personal training with you and your mate)

Let's get cruising!
Learning about basic navigation and how to read charts.
Back seat drivers are called navigators in the trawler world. Paper chart and binoculars at the ready.
Looking for dolphin.
Back at the helm.
And the RADAR shows....Captain Alyse compares what we expect to see on the chart plotter (GPS) and the paper chart to what we see on the RADAR. And then we see how different it looks when we look out the window.
Well earned snacks are shared on the back deck after we drop anchor in Vero Beach FL.
Bert made a new friend. Sitting in the salon after dinner.
Sunrise at Hole in the Wall.
Spoil islands are not only a great break water from the wakes of passing boats but they are so beautiful as well.
The dinghy awaits...
...to take us back to the mother ship SANDY HOOK.
Breakfast is ready!
Look who got dirty and who is still clean. Anchor duty can be a messy undertaking when the bottom is muddy.
Quit playing around. Let's get cruising!
Passing under the north bridge in Fort Pierce you can appreciate the gorgeous blue water as we near the inlet.
